I have just installed a trial version of LD Management Suite 9.5 on Win 2008 R2. I have setup a core server, PXE Represetnative, Replication Server and a Prefered Server (Content replication and PXE boot works fine).
I have followed the provisioning for Win7 guide here: http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-22507 and I have captured an image using IMAGEW v2 and used sysprep.exe /oobe /generalize /shutdown before capturing the image.
I have used the UNATTEND.XML and provisioning templates found in the ZIP file from the above link to deploy the image. The image deploys and installs, however the Join Domain and Install Agent actions fail during the post-os configuration. I cannot find any meaningful output in the provisioning log (or any other logs for that matter) to tell me why this is. The ldprovisioning directory is successfully copied to the client whilst attempting the post-os configuration. The scripts should work (according to the guide above) as I have not changed them except for adding in our required details as public variables (as decribed in the guide).
I have read through a multitude of posts to try and find a solution that resolves my issue but none seem to work or some don't have enough detail on how to perform the resolving action (given that I am a new landesk user with limited windows experience - especially regarding imaging).
Interestingly, following the deployment guide here: http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-23277 installs the agent, but still does not join the domain with no indication as to why not in the provisioning log or the deployment task log. However, the template seems to be a better option if I can get that to work as I intend on adding application packages to the installation process.
If anyone can offer some possible solutions and/or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
