You know what? I misread. I thought you were saying that some sort of new deployment option was added between 9.6 and 9.6 SP1 that drastically simplified the Provisioning process. 9.6 looks the same....

Yes, we ran sysprep with oobe and generalize. As stated previously, everything works 100% if CBA8 is installed in the image.
