Re: client portal
Hi There, Yes, we are targetting to the clients [landesk portal] via scope. When we push the task to the portal, it appears fine. But after some time, the task is disappearing from the client portal.

The task should only disappear from the portal if those clients are no longer associated with it. You may want to (re-)check your query / scope to ensure that those clients are still part of it.

For so many years, I've been seeing LANDESK/Ivanti touting their ability to have one template for all provisioning scenarios. For the most part, this is true. But, I am falling short of their nirvana...

You can also inquire "on the run" via running queries to the MBSDK for instance, such as documented here -- Getting Started with the MBSDK (Example Scripts Included) -- for instace.

Looks like the issue was Raid was turned on in the bios instead of ACHI. Changed that and laptop boots into the winpe with no issues.

We used to have separate templates for each department but we were finding that most of the techs were only using the base template then pushing the packages after provisioning. We've been able to get...

Another way is Custom Data (yep, that simple) & fire queries based off of that, if need be for instance. That's a trick I've been (ab-)using for all manner of things over the years.

Interesting. Do you have any examples that you could share?

I don't think we're quite large enough a deployment that machine mapping would work for us. I've looked into what it does but there's so many software packages and versions thereof, it seems not worth...

No problem. Package mapping isn't quite as daunting as it might look. You can create queries for each product, then create a custom product based off that query in SLM. Then map to that. That makes...

Thanks for the explanation- I didn't know that you could write a query for the products and map to that. If I can get that to work, it definitely sounds like something we may be able to make use of. I...
