The default variable is the correct one. If its not working when ticked I would try unticking this and see if that resolves the issue. What version of LDMS/EPM are you running?

I had this issue today with a bare metal provisioning task. I found that the issue was the wrong serial number was entered for the identifier in the bare metal object.
